Teach in China To-Do ListPlease complete each of the following steps in preparation for your Teach in China program. As always, feel free to contact CLI anytime at 888-781-8383 or email CLI’s Admissions Manager, Tania Yeromiyan, at tania@studycli.org.Secure your Teach in China program depositTo reserve your space for your Teach in China program, please click the below link to submit your 300 USD program deposit via CLI’s secure payment system (secured by Stripe).Secure Your SpaceSubmit a completed and signed copy of your Foreigner Physical Examination FormAll Foreign Experts must undergo a physical examination both in their home country and while in China. Please have your general physician complete the Foreigner Physical Examination Form and submit an electronic copy to CLI’s Admissions Manager at tania@studycli.org. Please note that it is not required for you to complete the sections labeled: Chest X-ray Exam; ECC; and Laboratory Exam.Obtain your Chinese visaIn order to teach English in China, you are required to obtain a Chinese work visa (Z). If you are enrolled in CLI’s Teach in China program, please refer to and carefully follow Visa Application Guide (Z). Please note that visa fees are not included in your CLI program fee.Submit your program balanceWithin one week of submitting your 300 USD program deposit, you will receive an email from your CLI Admissions Manager with instructions for your remaining program balance. Full program balance is due three weeks prior to program commencement.Secure your international health insurance coverageIt is highly recommended that all Teach in China participants secure international health insurance coverage. If your current carrier does not provide such coverage, you may want to secure insurance through the insurance carrier, iNext. You may purchase coverage directly with iNext. Please let us know if you have any questions.Complete CLI’s Guilin Arrival Information formIncluded in your program tuition, CLI provides all students with airport, train station or bus station pick-up and drop-off. In order for us to greet you at your Guilin arrival location, please complete CLI's Guilin Arrival Information Form at least two weeks prior to your program start date. Please plan to arrive in Guilin three to five days prior to your first day of class. If you wish to arrive even earlier, you can reside at CLI for an additional 150 RMB per night.Review your pre-departure packetIn an effort to better prepare you for your stay in Guilin, CLI has put together this detailed pre-departure packet. Please review all information carefully and contact CLI at tania@studycli.org with any additional questions that you may have.Review CLI’s list of online Chinese learning resourcesA great selection of free Mandarin learning resources is available online.
