News Rate announcements News Rate announcements Rate announcements Peak Season Surcharge for APA to SAI 13 Mar 2026 Share LinkedIn Facebook X.com WeChat Email Copy link Maersk is Implementing the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for the scope China, Hong Kong China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Vietnam to South Africa, Mauritius with Effective 1-April-26 The implement surcharge amount is detailed as follows: Surcharge - PSS Origin Destination Container basis Currency ALL 20DRY ALL 40DRY Origin China, Hong Kong China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore ,Taiwan China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Vietnam Destination South Africa, Mauritius. Container basis Per container Currency USD ALL 20DRY 500 ALL 40DRY 1000 Non-SPOT booking – The above rate is retrieved based on Price Calculation Date (PCD). For non-FMC, PCD refers to the scheduled departure date of the first water leg at the time of booking confirmation for non-spot bookings. For FMC, PCD is last container gate-in date for non-spot bookings. PSS is not applicable on SPOT booking. PSS is not applicable on SPOT booking.
