Photo and Video Inspection Before Shipment | Buyer Checklist

Back to Blog Why photo and video checks help Photo and video inspection before shipment gives overseas buyers a practical look at goods before they leave China. It is not laboratory testing or checking every unit, but it can identify visible issues, packing mismatches, carton damage, or unclear labels. Ask for clear product views Useful photos include front, back, side, close-up details, accessories, labels, and packaging. For products with moving parts or functions, a short video can show basic operation where practical. Include quantity and carton evidence Request carton count photos, carton labels, opened carton photos, quantity per carton, and a view of the goods grouped together. This helps compare visible stock with order details. Check packaging and labels Photos should show inner packaging, outer cartons, stickers, barcodes, carton marks, hang tags, or instruction inserts where relevant. Request close-ups of risk points List visible risks before the check starts: scratches, color mismatch, wrong size, loose stitching, dented housing, missing accessories, weak printing, dirty packaging, or unclear markings. Keep reporting usable A practical report can include photos, short videos, a carton count, visible findings, supplier comments, and questions that need buyer confirmation.
